It is only today that I found out that how effective and useful a data card is. Today I am traveling to another part of India and I knew that I had to check some important emails which I was waiting for, and because of the data card I could do so. Halfway through the journey I could stop the car and check my mails and reply to them. No roaming charges no extra costs for using the internet in another state.

Bsnl has announced their new data cards which are due to be launched any time next year and will have speeds as high as 2Mbps which you can use while traveling as well and will be much faster then most broadband connections available. This is going to be such a great thing for those like me who need the internet on the go all the time. I am not sure if bsnl data cards will actually provide such high speeds but even if its 1/4th the claimed speed I will be a happy bunny :)

I cant wait for this new data card thing to be launched.. I might even consider moving to Dehradun and live there in peace for a while away from the New Delhi rush.
